These terms and conditions outline the rights and responsibilities of the client and MHS services Uk .

Quotation and Contract:

  • The Company will provide all customers with a written quotation, including sufficient detail for the completion of the works. Clarification can be requested.
  • A contract with the Company is formed when the client accepts a written quotation and pays the deposit. The terms of the contract are those outlined in the quotation.

Prices and Access:

  • Prices quoted are based on free access and unimpeded working during normal working hours unless otherwise agreed.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange planning permission, building control, and any utility changes.

Cooling Off Period

  • Clients have a 14-day cooling-off period after entering into a contract. This can be exercised by contacting the Company via phone or email.

Commencement of Work:

  • Work commences assuming uninterrupted progress and in accordance with planning permissions.
  • The Company is not liable for costs incurred due to delays from unforeseen circumstances.
  1. Working Arrangements:
  • Practical arrangements for working methods will be agreed upon with the client to minimize disruption and allow efficient work.

Materials and Labour:

  • Materials on-site remain the property of the Company.
  • Labour may be directly employed or subcontracted. Each subcontractor takes responsibility for their own liability.
  1. Payment Plan and Invoices:
  • A payment plan will be provided to the client before work commences, typically including a deposit and staged payments.
  • Payments must be made in a timely manner to avoid impeding work progress. Invoices will serve as receipts and include payment details.

Insurance:

  • The Company holds Public Liability and Employers’ Liability Insurance up to £5,000,000, covering general building practices.

Data Protection:

  • Client information is retained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 and remains confidential.
  1. Guarantees:
    • A 12-month guarantee covers workmanship. Material guarantees follow manufacturer’s warranty periods.
    • The guarantee does not cover existing structures, materials, or decorations beyond agreed terms.
  2. Responsibilities and Disclaimers:
    • The Company is not responsible for the integrity of existing structures or the suitability of existing boilers.
    • Clients are responsible for protecting existing surfaces and items during work. The Company is not liable for damages.
  3. Use of Project Images:
    • The Company reserves the right to use project images for marketing purposes unless otherwise specified by the client.
  4. Disputes and Claims:
    • Any disputes or claims will be resolved promptly and amicably between the client and the Company.
